Every year for the past three election cycles there has been one non-Democrat to run for County Commissioner in Benton County - which is one of the strongest Blue Cities in one of the strongest Blue States in the very Blue United States. Odds are pretty low for a victory right? Or are they? I mean, the Democrats have owned the commission for the last couple of decades and things have gone pretty good, right? Despite the fact that housing sucks, homelessness has risen, 18% of the county lives in poverty, 30% to 35% of the county is probably living at or below the acceptable standard of living, property taxes are constantly being pushed up, health care has risen dramatically (if you can find a doctor), bonds are constantly being "pushed" through, and fees for everything has gone up - things are good, right? That's what they tell you.
Ok, so the fact prices have risen 19% over the last two years while your pay has gone up 3-8% (depending if you work for the private sector or public sector). But other than that- it's great!!! Oh, yeah, and just because by 2035 (11 years) you won't be driving that poisonous petroleum vehicle anymore, but that $85,000 to $100,000 vehicle built (sold at a loss requiring your tax money to offset the loss), everything is fine!!! Until then, of course, we will just have to get used to paying higher and higher costs for all that foreign gas we are importing to the US until those windmills and solar panels kick in. It's all ok, though, because the government is "forcing" us to "green" energy sources which will force us to have an advantage in the new "Green" industries - no pain, no gain, right? Except it won't work,
The supply chains and low-cost labor supply are already dominated by other countries. Oh well - just keep electing the same people with the will to power through it and everything will be OK, right? "The cost of the common good - just live with it!!!."
It doesn't have to be this way. It is obvious the world isn't going to burn up in 8 years (remember, it was 12 years in 2020 according to AOC and Biden). We have more time to diversify the energy industry to help keep prices down. In doing that we can boost more people into housing and acceptable standards of living until technology, mining, and development for "green" energy can expand. We just need leaders without the same groupthink mentality. We need critical thinkers who can precisely balance risks and mitigations to maximize benefit to the constituents.
I have a proven record of successfully solving extremely complex problems through precise analysis, developing bold and effective plans to mitigate risks, and a strong desire to help all stakeholders. Vote for me and let me help lead you through the future.
